It seems that the controversies surrounding Albie Casino’s breakup with Andi Eigenmann has taken its toll to the young actor’s rising showbiz career. As it is, he didn’t make it to the cast of Kathryn Bernardo and Julia Montes’s new show Growing Up. The three were part of a love triangle had been a huge hit in their previous teleserye, Mara Clara.
When asked how she feels that she won’t be working with Albie anymore, Kathryn admitted that she would definitely miss their on screen team-up. “Sobrang kumportable ako kay Albie kasi since sa Mara Clara ilang buwan din kami nag-run. ‘Yung bawat galaw namin nagkakaintindihan na kami, nagkakaconnect na kami,” said Kathryn during an ABS-CBN media visit to the set of Growing Up at Subic last June 29.
Nevertheless, Kathryn claimed that she’s very happy with her new partner, Daniel Padilla who first appeared in the teen series, Gimik 2010. “Actually, nakasama na siya ni Julia sa Gimik 2010. Ako, first time ko siya makakatrabaho. Panibagong adjustment na naman pero kay DJ (Daniel’s nickname) madali naman kami magkatrabaho kasi magaling siya umarte. Tsaka may full support kami ni direk Lino (Cayetano) at ng buong staff ng show kaya hindi kami gaanong nahirapan sa mga eksena namin.”
Kathryn also hopes that her avid fans would continue to support her new team-up in her latest TV project. “Sana magustuhan din nila yung bagong love team namin ni DJ kasi ginagalingan din naman talaga namin. Kung papaano namin ginalingan ni Albie yung love team namin noon, siyempre ganon din yung gagawin namin ni DJ for Growing Up.”
Contrary to her meek character in Mara Clara, Kathryn plays a feistier character in Growing Up. “Sa pananamit at sa personality pa lang, sobrang iba talaga si Ella kay Mara. Palaban siya na medyo boyish type. Total opposite siya ni Mara. Nilayo talaga namin yung character niya tsaka ibang atake yung ginawa nmin sa pag-arte. Mas palaban na Kathryn ang makikita ni’yo dito tsaka mas fun yung story.”
If you haven’t heard the news yet. Wala na si Albie sa Growing Up. He’s been replaced by a kid named Daniel Padilla as Kath’s new loveteam. Earlier ABS_CBN’s PUSH.com.ph posted an article regarding this breaking news but it was later removed after a few hours of being posted.
And get this, according to IC Mendosa, Albie has been removed from Star Magic. Why? I do not know. Alex Gonzaga even asked “Bakit pati si Albie?”
